Travel, stress, constant changes in my routine, means I have 99 problems and digestion is one. Before I get too deep, let me warn you that this post will contain numerous references to my gut health and poop. Yup, poop.

I feel like this is a safe space since ALL runners regularly talk about their poop. From running through an “upset stomach,” unforeseen poop emergencies while running to, most importantly, how to force poop before a race. (Yes, there's actually a technique).

I’ve always had issues with my gut and pooping regularly. Now, we all know the problems that arise with irregular bowel movements and as I approached 30, I knew I had to get myself together. Feeling bloated ALL THE TIME was not a good look.

With some diet changes, it got WAY better, but now that I’m traveling more frequently than ever, I still find that my belly gets a little angrier every time I step foot on a plane or in a hotel room. I don’t know what it is about traveling, but my body hates it.

Since regular travel was a new part of my life, I knew I had to do something quick to help me through the bloating and all the other icky side-effects of being on the road (and being stressed).
