BGR! U "21-Day Clean Eating Challenge" Begins Tomorrow

July 05, 2015 8 Comments

By: Toni Carey (@toni_carey)

I started my day with a venti coffee from Starbucks this morning. I'll be joining everyone on the BGR! U "21-Day Clean Eating Challenge" for the next three weeks and I wanted to get in one last good time with my friend Java. Granted I eat clean 95% of the time, but coffee (and wine) will be the two things I will miss the most. *sniffle*

But, I think there's nothing like assessing your diet from time to time AND testing your willpower. After all, you shouldn't give yourself EVERYTHING you want. We live in world where instant gratification reigns and we never really give ourselves a chance to test our mental prowess.

Think this might be right up your alley?

If you're still interested in taking the course, we're leaving registration open for another a few days to give anyone one the fence an opportunity to get in! Registration will officially close on Wednesday, July 8.

Not sure if it's right for you? If you're experiencing any of the following, you might want to give it a try:

  • You think you are sensitive to gluten and/or dairy
  • You want to eat healthier, but you're not sure where to begin (and you're idea of a better doesn't include grilled chicken and broccoli everyday. You want REAL food)
  • You experience irritable bowels and/or you're not "regular"
  • You constantly feel sluggish and/or fatigued (and not from lack of sleep)
  • Your doctor has suggested that eating better would greatly impact your health issues

I truly believe that food can be our medicine. I also truly believe that eating healthy doesn't have to be boring! As part of the "21-Day Clean Eating Challenge," each participant will receive Danielle Omar's Nourish Cookbook. I whipped up a few recipes from the Nourish Cookbook and they were 110% husband approved! That's right! Your family doesn't have to "suffer" while you're on the "21-Day Clean Eating Cleanse." I guarantee, they'll love the recipes too!

I don’t cook at all. Is this plan convenient for people like myself? I usually buy salads, baked chicken with vegetable or a sandwich for dinner. Breakfast is usually either, oatmeal, boil eggs, egg white vegetable omelette or a yogurt with a banana. Lunch is usually a fruit with string cheese. Please advise. Thank you.
