Perfect Earbuds for Runners!

July 03, 2014

shutterstock_120796282By Myra “MeeMee” Taylor Picture this: You’re in the middle of a good run, jamming to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, when your earbuds (AKA headphones AKA earphones AKA stereophones) slip from your ears. You stick them back in and continue running to “…and no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike…” when—you guessed it—your earbuds fall out again.   Madding, right? It’s sooooo annoying, not to mention distracting, to have to keep putting your earbuds in, and them slipping right back out. I desperately needed ones that would not fall out due to sweaty ears or due to the constant movement of running. I tried several different types, but none did the trick….until I found the perfect earbuds for running. One that hooks OVER the ear! Koss FitClips are earbuds designed by women with women especially in mind. Besides fitting over the ear, they are sweat resistant, super lightweight, durable, and they come in rad colors. They even have a limited lifetime warranty. However, you do have to pay a little extra for this awesomeness. Koss FitClips go for $19 to $30. I have found them on sale at Walgreens and Amazon.com for as low as $14.99. Of course, you don’t have to go with Koss. There are other brands with over-the-ear headphones too, like JVC, Yurbuds, and Memorex. No matter which you choose, enjoy running with your earbuds staying in your ears. No more falling out! Ahhhh…. Now I can listen to Thriller uninterrupted! Myra “MeeMee” Taylor is a proud member of the BGR-Los Angeles Chapter.
