Today Girls on the Run International announced its partnership with Black Girls RUN!, that encourages African-American women to make fitness and healthy living a priority. “Girls on the Run International and Black Girls RUN! share a common goal of promoting healthy lifestyles to women and girls,” said Elizabeth Kunz, President of Girls on the Run, “Members of Black Girls RUN! have long supported our girls as coaches and parents and we are enthusiastic about sharing their mission with the mothers, friends and family of our participants.” “As a Girls on the Run coach, I see firsthand the impact the program has on motivating girls to be healthy and active,” said Toni Carey, founder of Black Girls RUN!. “We look forward to involving our members in inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident.” This partnership will connect women to like-minded organizations focused on ensuring all girls have the opportunity to know and activate their limitless potential.
