#WorkoutWed Treadmill Intervals + Full Body Circuits (And I found a wedding dress!!)
January 21, 2014
It's that time again!!!! It's WorkoutWednesday! I'm happy to report that I stepped on the scale today, and I'm down 7 pounds from my starting weight on January 1! It's not as much weight as I had hoped to lose at this point, but its something.
I also tried on and found the perfect wedding dress this past weekend!! I've posted a small snap shot. The dress is strapless, and fitting through the waist. This is even more motivation for me to tone my upper body. I need my arm and back to be on point! When I walk down the aisle, it needs to be a gun show :)

Enough of the wedding talk, here is today's workout.
This week's workout start with intervals. I'm getting a bit bored with 1-2 mile treadmill runs that I've been doing. I found this really great twenty minute interval workout. The best thing about the interval workout is that the time seems to fly by. You're so focused on your sprints or catching your breathe during the recovery time that there isn't much time to mindlessly watch the clock. Feel free to challenge yourself with the intervals, pushing the 7 and 7.5 speeds as high as you can go.
1-3 minutes - 3
3-5 minutes - 3.5
5-9 minutes - 7
9-10 minutes - 5
10-14 minutes - 7.5
14 - 15 minutes 5
15 - 19 minutes - 6.7
19 - 20 minutes - 3.5
15 reps, 3 sets
Walking lunges with medicine ball twist
Pushups
Overhead Squat
Overhead Press
Lateral Lunges
Deadlift to Row
60 second plank
Tricep Dips
Chest Press
Front Shoulder Raises
15 burpees
Don't forget to stretch after your workout. Last week I didn't have time to stretch after my leg day and I was SORE for the next three days. Lesson learned.
