Drive to End Hunger National Anthem Contest
On Sunday, September 16, 12012, thousands of Black Girls RUN! members and supporters will flood the streets of Atlanta, GA and take part in the inaugural Black Girls RUN! Drive to End Hunger 5K/10K Race. To kickoff the race, Black Girls RUN! is looking for one special person to sing the National Anthem before the gun goes off, and the runners/walkers hit the pavement. To enter the National Anthem contest, please submit your bio, photo, and a youtube video link of you singing any song by Thursday, August 9 (5pm EST). Participants videos, bios, and photos will then be uploaded to the Black Girls RUN! website for online voting by our viewers. Voting will start Friday, August 10, and the winner with the most votes will be announced on Friday, August 17 (voting ends at 5pm EST, and winner will be announced later that evening).

The winner will sing the National Anthem in Atlanta, GA on Sunday, September 16 at 7 a.m. in Atlantic Station, win a Black Girls RUN! shirt and be able to attend the BGR! Pre Race Pasta Dinner on Saturday, September 15, and participate in the Drive to End Hunger 5K/10K Race if they choose. You must be in Atlanta, GA on race day (Black Girls RUN! will not cover travel expenses if coming from out of town.).
