Product Review: Brooks Ghost 5

As a long-time fan of Brooks, I was beyond geeked when I learned that their Ghost 5 would be making its way to store shelves. Making its debut in May, I was amped when Brooks offered to let me take the shoes for a test drive.
The technology: Think all things awesome about the Brooks Ghost 3 and Ghost 4 wrapped into one shoe. With the neutral runner in mind, the Ghost 5 is a bit lighter weighing in at 8.8 ounces and features the Caterpillar Crash Pad and anatomical Brooks DNA.
Curbside appeal: I chose the purple and blue pair (pictured) but they also come in aqua/silver.
The sacrifice: The suggested retail price is $110.
My take: I was a huge fan of the Ghost 3, but didn’t have much luck with the Ghost 4. The Ghost 5 renewed my faith in the Ghosts and delivered on the smooth (and lighter) ride I was looking for.
