Welcome to our new home!
Many don’t know this, but when we first started blogging we had a blogspot website (so, 1990s). Shortly after, we realized that we needed to upgrade. Two years later, we’re 25,000 members strong and the time to upgrade has come again! Today we’re excited to launch our new and improved website! It’s everything BGR! and then some! A few of the major changes you’ll see are:
- Official BGR! Membership We’re making it official! To become an official BGR! member you’ll need to sign up on our new website. But don’t worry, it’s still FREE! We just want to make sure you receive all the perks of rolling with the BGR! crew. You can create your own BGR! profile or connect using Facebook!
- No more Facebook groups! Watch out Mark Zuckerberg. While we love Facebook, it really didn’t do everything we needed it to. Womp, womp! So, connecting with local and national BGR’s will be SOOOO much easier! All of the running groups will operate on www.blackgirlsrun.com.
- BGR! and Running Events in ONE Place! Ugh, another reason we left Facebook. Now you’ll be able to find runs and events happening in your city and other BGR! cities across the nation, all in one place.
Starting today, all group runs and events will be posted on BlackGirlsRUN.com so make sure you sign up today! You can still find us on Facebook at facebook.com/BlackGirlsRUN and on Twitter at @BlackGirlsRUN. We can’t wait to see you there!
