***New travel information****When: Saturday, May 5 Where: Columbus, OH The inside track: Choose your course: half marathon, quarter marathon or 5K. Whatever the distance, a champagne toast and chocolate will await you at the end. Did we mention it will be Columbus’ 200th birthday? It’s a celebration. Registration: Half marathon: $60; Quarter marathon: $40; 5k: $30. (Race fees increase after 10/31/11) Hotel: Sheraton Hotel at Capitol Square. Tell them we sent you. Transportation: Between the airport and race hotel, take either a taxi (about $25) or the Share-Ride bus, which is $20 per person one-way or $38 per person round trip. Please call Urban Express Transportation, 614-856-1000. Travelers have to make a reservation for this Share-Ride service. Travelers can reserve far in advance or as late as 24 hours before. Nike Women’s Half Marathon
***Official Date Added***When: October 14, 2012 Where: San Francisco, CA The inside track: Twenty thousand women will run the streets of San Francisco. But beware, the race is lottery only, so be sure to sign up with the Black Girls RUN! team. We have faith we’ll make it this year. Word on the street is runners will get a little something something from the people who made the blue box with a white ribbon famous. We’re all over this race, so look out for more information soon. We’ve heard so much about this race, we couldn’t NOT run it in 2012. We’re super pumped for more details to be released about the 2012 race. We’ll be sure to keep you in the know.
