Become a Heavy Medal Groupie with the Rock n' Roll Race Series

After completing my first half marathon, I was hooked. Mostly because of the medal. I guess as a millenial and my incessant need to be rewarded, being driven by the shiny, and sometimes sparkly, hardware isn't a huge surprise. When I was doing my race re-cap for the Rock n' Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon, I came across something that made me giddy with excitement and had me thinking about registering for every Rock n' Roll race scheduled for the rest of the year. In 2011, runners that complete two or more races in the Rock n' Roll Marathon series within the calendar year (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31) will qualify for its heavy medal bling. You got it! Even more medals!!! *faints* To Qualify:

• Register for and complete two (or more) 2011 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series events. Completed events must be marathon or half marathon distance to qualify. The Rock ‘n’ Roll New York 10k will also count as a qualifying event.
• You must have one Active.com account with your correct name, birth date, and address

No Applications. You don’t need to apply for Heavy Medals. They will ship your medal within 8-10 weeks after your qualifying event. There is no cost for these medals – you earn them, and they send them. Check out the goods!
