"There's two things that we love. Running and fashion," said Ashley Hicks, co-founder of Black Girls RUN! "Co-hosting this fashion show was the perfect way to support one of our favorite non-profit organizations, Girls on the Run Nashville."
Attendees brought in more than $1500 with silent auction items donated by personal trainer Stephen Taylor, Barefoot Wine and others.
"Girls on the Run is a fantastic organization that helps young girls learn about health, fitness, self-esteem and teamwork," said Toni Marshall, co-founder of Black Girls Run. "The funds donated will help provide girls with scholarships, running equipment and learning materials."
The event is one of many planned to support Girls on the Run. For more information about Girls on the Run, visit www.gotrnashville.org.
