Ahhhhhh! Valentine's Day. The one day set aside to let your lover, best friends and family know that you love them. It's also the one time of year I fall victim to my obsession....CHOCOLATE. It's irresistible smell and taste is , well, irresistible. I call it "The gift that keeps on giving....the lbs."
So, for this year's day of lovers, I've compiled a list of five healthy, cool, non-chocolate gifts to give that special someone.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Merlot
There's only one thing that I love more than chocolate and that's wine. Not only will you be giving the gift of some of the best red wine ever, you'll also be giving that
special one the gift of a healthy heart. Red wine contains two antioxidants that may prevent heart disease. One of which are flavonoids which can also be found in oranges, grape juice and apples (but wine is so much more fun). The other is nonflavonoids which appear to help arteries from becoming clogged with fatty blockages. Both of which make me happy. Cheers to a happy and healthy heart!
