Boom, Boom POW!: CityBlast 5K

If you're looking for a way to spark your running routine, register for the CityBlast Foursquare 4th of July 5k in Puyallup, Washington. The registration fee is $25 (before July 1) and proceeds benefit the Friends & Servants program of the YMCA AND your entry also gets you into the CityBlast fireworks show.

The course: The USATF certified 5k Course begins and ends at the Gold Gate of the Puyallup Fair Grounds, located at the intersection of Meridian and 9th Ave. The course is a pleasant run along quiet streets through residential areas followed by a refreshing stretch along pastures and a canal. The course will then take you past the fish hatchery and up a challenging hill on 15th St. There the course begins its descent along Fairview Ave., then back to 9th St, finishing just inside the Gold Gate.
