If you read my last Fuel for Running, you know that I am a huge fan of breakfast. Here is a delicious and easy breakfast smoothie that is filling and great for the summer months. I admit, I was initially skeptical to try the recipe because of the uncooked oatmeal. But, I'm in love! Once you blend the ingredients, the oatmeal is no longer a factor. I had a banana chocolate smoothie on my way to work this morning.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup uncooked Oatmeal 2 cups Fruit 1 cup Ice 1 cup Milk
1. Place all of the ingredients into the blender, cover, and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy! Feel free to experiment and find your winning combination!
Other great Options: Peanut butter Vanilla or chocolate breakfast shake powder (I used 2tbsp. of slim fast to make a chocolate-banana smoothie) Various fruits Protein supplement Low-fat Yogurt Carrots Nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla Wheat germ
